If You Think You’re Old, You’ll Get Old Brain World

During the first three decades of the 20th century, the St. Louis Street Department generated one of the most extensive troves of photographs ever taken of our city. We’ve used a selection of these images to create Capturing the City, a photography-based exhibition that allows visitors to experience historic St. Louis in new and eye-opening ways.. St. Louis is a city and port in the U.S. state of Missouri. The city developed along the western bank of the Mississippi River, which forms Missouri’s border with Illinois. Below is a selection of 30 stunning vintage photographs of street scenes of St. Louis in the early 20th century, via Missouri History Museum.
